21. júna zorganizoval FES SK v spolupráci s SFPA a Ministerstvom zahraničných vecí a európskych záležitostí SR diskusiu na tému slovenského predsedníctva V4. Aktuálne vzťahy v zoskupení sú rozporuplné, keďže krajiny rozdeľuje nielen vzťah k Ukrajine, ale aj otázkam právneho štátu.
Od júla preberá Slovensko predsedníctvo Vyšehradskej skupiny. Aké sú ambície slovenského predsedníctva a ako by krajiny mohli využiť potenciál V4 na európskej pôde? Na túto tému diskutoval riaditeľ SFPA Tomáš Strážay spolu so šéfredaktorkou portálu zahranicnapolitika.sk Evou Mihočkovou.
Vzhľadom na odlišnosť postojov nebude podľa Tomáša Strážaya spolupráca medzi krajinami V4 taká intenzívna ako sme boli zvyknutí v minulých rokoch. Najmä čo sa týka politickej spolupráce medzi lídrami krajín. Ale ako dodáva, jadro spolupráce V4 spočíva v kooperácii a koordinácii na nižších úrovniach ako sú ministerstvá a experti s konkrétnou agendou na nich.
Aktuálna politická situácia vo V4 nepraje inovatívnym a zásadným prelomom vo vzájomnej spolupráci, preto sa Slovensko v rámci predsedníctva bude podľa slov Strážaya sústreďovať na presadzovanie výziev a cieľov prvej deklarácie z roku 1991. Konkrétne na posilnenie regionálnej spolupráce, ale v prepojení na európske štruktúry a presadzujúc hodnoty európskej integrácie. Slovensko bude klásť dôraz na udržiavanie praktickej dimezie spolupráce s určitým politickým dialógom.
V dôsledku ruskej invázie na Ukrajinu získava na dôležitosti rozvoj dopravnej a zároveň aj energetickej infraštruktúry. Táto oblasť predstavuje spoločného menovateľa, ktorý spája krajiny V4. Budovanie železničných a cestných prepojení je v záujme všetkých krajín Vyšehradskej skupiny.
Aj pozícia Poľska voči EÚ či postoj Maďarska k Ukrajine, ale taktiež stanovisko k rozširovaniu EÚ smerom na východ boli ďalšími bodmi diskusie.
