Sociálny štát, ako spoločenský, socio-ekonomický model, etablovaný v 19. a 20. storočí prednostne v Európe, má v rôznych častiach a krajinách sveta rôznu podobu, rozsah aj výsledky.
Najviac rozvinutý sociálny štát prednostne severnej, ale aj časti západnej Európy, spojený s vyššou mierou prerozdeľovania bohatstva, vyšším zdanením ľudí s najvyššími príjmami a rozvinutou sieťou sociálnych služieb aj investícií sa ukazuje byť nielen modelom, vytvárajúcim predpoklady na najvyššiu kvalitu života jeho občanov, ale patrí takisto k najkonkurencieschopnejším a najinovatívnejším ekonomikám sveta, najviac priťahujúcim talenty. A napokon krajiny s týmto rovnostárskejším socio-ekonomickým modelom dosahujú aj najvyššiu úroveň a kvalitu demokracie, jej odolnosti, občianskej spoločnosti, najnižšiu mieru korupcie, či najvyššiu mieru dôvery.
Na 35 medzinárodných ukazovateľoch a porovnaniach a ich kontextujúcich vysvetleniach tri diely kreslených filmov poukazujú na to, že rozvinuté sociálne štáty sú krajinami s najlepšími podmienkami na život a takisto sú najlepšie pripravené čeliť výzvam budúcnosti.
