Témou tretieho pokračovania série odborných diskusií „Zelená vízia pre Slovensko“, ktorú v spolupráci organizuje Slovenská klimatická iniciatíva s podporou FES-SK bola energetická obnova verejných budov na Slovensku.
Hlavnou otázkou diskusie, či na Slovensku v energetickej obnove budov postupujeme dostatočne rýchlo a dostatočne systematicky, sa v rozhovore s Kateřinou Chajdiakovou z SKI zaoberali podpredseda Najvyššieho kontrolného úradu SR Jaroslav Ivančo, Kristína Korčeková, manažérka odboru zelenej ekonomiky Sekcie plánu obnovy Úradu vlády SR a Milan Orlovský zo spoločnosti KOOR.
Ako odznelo v diskusii, dôvody nenapĺňania potenciálu energetickej a ekologickej obnovy verejných budov sú rôznorodé a siahajú od nedostatku spoľahlivých a použiteľných dát, cez nesystémový prístup k čerpaniu zdrojov fondov EÚ na účely obnovy, až po rozdrobenosť kompetencií na 15 inštitúcií. Dobrou správou pre túto oblasť je existencia nových nástrojov a zdrojov z programu REPowerEU na energetickú efektívnosť verejných budov aj domácností, na ktorých čerpanie sa však musíme zodpovedne pripraviť, lepšie ako doposiaľ. Rovnako bola v diskusii zo strany zástupcu komerčného sektoru deklarovaná pripravenosť firiem podieľať sa na obnove verejných budov a implementovať aj tzv. garantované energetické služby na trhu.
